Can you out train a bad diet?

“I’ll just have that burger for lunch🍔/cake🍰/ice cream 🍨/ all three, I’m going to the gym this afternoon, I’ll just have to work a little harder.”

How many times do we tell ourselves that to justify eating what we shouldn’t?

If we look at all the metabolic influences on our daily energy intake, Exercise accounts for just 17% of energy expenditure. If you look closely, you can see that eating – chewing and digestion of food, accounts for 12%.

Nutrition and exercise are so closely linked that you can’t really separate them. You can’t eat crap, train hard and expect results.

Conversely, you can’t half-arse your training, and eat healthy and get the results you’re looking for.

If you’re prepared to put 3-5 hours a week or more into the gym, you need to be prepared to put that amount of time into preparing the right foods to fuel your body for growth and recovery.

Remember. You can't out-train a bad diet!
